Temporary building closures for essential maintenance
We’ll be carrying out essential maintenance work at our St Pancras site over the coming months. To allow this work to take place safely, the building will be closed on selected dates.
Upcoming closures:
- Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May
- Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June.
Further closures will be required to complete the work and we will let you know by updating this page and on our social media channels when these are confirmed.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding while we carry out these important works.
Please also be aware that Reading Rooms, Reader Registration and our entire Boston Spa site will be closed on upcoming bank holidays, Monday 4 and Monday 25 May. Public spaces and exhibitions in St Pancras will be open from 11.00 – 17.00. Find out more about our opening hours.
How you might be affected
If you are a Reader and have requested items to consult in one of our Reading Rooms during these periods we will contact you with further information.
Please do not request any new items during planned closures as we will not be able to fulfil these.
If you are a ticket holder for an impacted event or exhibition, we will be in touch directly.
